About EcoFinSys LLC

Dr. Juha Korpela founded EcoFinSys LLC in 2018 to bring quantitative modeling, data engineering, and software development to complex problems in the public sector.

His background spans physics, financial economics, derivatives pricing, and enterprise risk. That experience shapes the work: understand the assumptions, test the calculation, and follow it through to the decision it supports.

Before EcoFinSys, Juha led enterprise risk systems and ALM quantitative analytics at Transamerica. He held senior quantitative and risk roles at Credit Suisse, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and AIG, and earlier trading-desk roles at firms including Goldman Sachs, Citadel, and Salomon Smith Barney.

He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.Sc. in Finance from Helsinki School of Economics, and an M.Sc. in Physics from Helsinki University of Technology.
